Botastic and Talkee are now open source

Open source software provides many of the foundational bricks of basically every product we use. As a result, blockchain and Web3 technologies rise and have been disrupting traditional industries with their decentralized and transparent approach.

It wouldn't happen without open source movement and the community that supports it. Pando Proto Team has a strong motivation to push the boundaries of what is possible in these areas.

We believe that the decentralized, community-driven nature of Web3 and open source has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with technology and each other.

In this post, we are happy to announce that Botastic and Talkee are now open source. We hope these projects we are working on will be helpful to drive the Web3 forward.

Talkee

Talkee is an innovative social tool based on the Pando Protocol, designed to simplify the process of adding chat and comment sections to websites. It supports various crypto wallet logins and even enables the distribution of cryptocurrency airdrops as incentives for reader engagement.

For instance, if you are a Web3 blogger seeking to add a comment feature to your blog, you can seamlessly embed Talkee and it will generate a comment section automatically.

With Talkee, all users will log in using their crypto wallet and start commenting on your posts. Furthermore, the comments will be stored on a secure distributed storage network such as Arweave.

By using Talkee, you can also set up airdrops for your blog posts to reward reader engagement, with Talkee automatically distributing the airdrops to the commenters.

Since 2021, Talkee has been successfully utilized by various Medium websites, and it has archived more than 700,000 comments in total. Recently, on Mar 24, 2023, we launched a refactored version of Talkee on Product Hunt, where it gained significant recognition, securing the #5 spot in the Web3 category and featuring on the front page:
